A year after their Olympic title in Tokyo, the French volleyball players set out again to attack a title that is missing from their rich record. Antoine Brizard’s teammates, voted best player in the world in 2021, are aiming for nothing other than the last major title they miss at the World Championships. The Blues begin their campaign against Germany (5:30 p.m.), before facing the other favorite of the group, Slovenia on August 28, and concluding their group stage against Cameroon, two days later.
