Their latest video already has 627,000 views. We see Alexis, Super U vest on his back, stage himself in front of his boss and take up a line from Youtuber Inoxtag: “That day, I didn’t do anything. That day, I didn’t do anything. That day, well, it’s today, and I’m not going to do anything”. On the video, a text has been added. We read : “when the boss comes back from vacation and asks me what I did while he was away”. “This is the third most viewed video on our account”, smiles Alexis. For six months, he has been posting at least one video each week, made with Enzo, the other alternating from the store.
A supermarket on TikTok
The two work-study students are the source of the success. They offered to create a TikTok account, and the idea was quickly validated by management. Since, they count several dozen videos in all. “Usually what we do is we look for a trend on TikTok, and then we try to find a situation that might fit with that sound”explains Alexis. “Not everyone is used to seeing their supermarket on TikTok, so that’s why it worked”analyzes Enzo. “For example on the pockets, we staged the fact that some customers come with pockets from other stores and that makes us laugh”he smiles.
Even the director participates
Everyone lends itself to the game, on the shelves, in the reserve and in the offices, including the assistant store manager. Florent Delbos plays the game thoroughly, even if he often takes it for his rank. “We are simply trying to give another image of the store and it’s true that it’s funny. When I push them hard in the parking lot so that they don’t hurt themselves”, he said, laughing. For store manager Fabien Papon, this serves to make the store known, but also and above all to create a link between the hundred or so employees.
