(Anaheim) Forward Maxime Comtois will miss about six weeks following right hand surgery, the Anaheim Ducks have said.
The operation took place on Thursday.
The 22-year-old Quebecer has missed the Ducks’ last three games.
The Ducks’ leading scorer in 2020-21, with 16 goals and 33 points, has been limited to one assist this season, in 13 games.
Anaheim (10-5-3) is doing well this season, sitting third in the NHL with 61 goals.
The Ducks had won eight in a row before losing 2-1 to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
