The acetylene gas leak ends in the basement of a construction site near the Laval station, this Wednesday August 24, 2022, the bottle containing this flammable and highly reactive gas is now empty. Firefighters dispatched to the scene since 2:30 p.m. continue to spray it to lower its temperature. They also check that no gas pockets have appeared, while waiting the arrival of an Air Liquide technician to handle this bottle, scheduled for 5:30 p.m..
Substitute bus
Part of the district is still closed: avenue Robert Buron, rue Magenta and the station square. Access to the pedestrian bridge, above the station tracks, is however authorized. TER rail traffic is still interrupted. On the other hand, the firefighters gave their agreement for the passage of the TGVs on a track, the one furthest from the gas leak. The SNCF indicates the establishment of substitute buses.
