“Quentin Pacher among the leaders”, is the reaction of his team, Groupama-FDJ after his fourth place snatch on the fourth stage of the Tour of Spain, the Vuelta. The puncher, from Port-Ste-Foy-et-Ponchapt, accompanied the favorites to the end, wasting no time on the stage winner, Primoz Roglic.
In an uphill finish that matches his qualities as a puncher “a final ramp of one kilometer at 8.5%”he followed the attack of the Slovenian in the last meters, to overtake, on the line, his compatriot, Pavel Sivakov.
“My good feelings from the Tour of Poland are confirmed as well as my skills on this type of finishreacted Quentin Pacher on arrival. I can still progress to try to climb on the podium in this kind of finish, but I am very satisfied with this start”.
The Groupama – FDJ rider had already finished fourth in a stage of the Tour de France in Sarran in 2020.
