This Monday, the Rennes Open Blot unveiled its main participants for the tournament which will start on September 12 at Liberté. The Czech Jiri Vesely will be seeded number 1, he will be accompanied by many French tennis players, such as Richard Gasquet, Gilles Simon and Benoît Paire.
The first names of the participants in the Open Blot of Rennes, which will be held in freedom from September 12 to 18, are known. The number 1 seed will be the Czech Jiri Veselycurrently 68th at the ATP.
He will be in good company, with many of the best current French players: Ugo Humbert (143rd), Hugo Gaston (71st) and Benoît Paire (164th) will be there. Gilles Simon (177th) will tread the Liberté court for the last time before retiring at the end of the season. He will not be the only one of the “Four Musketeers” to aim for the title in Rennes, since Richard Gasquet (91st) will also be present.
It now remains to wait for the wild cards which will be issued a few days before the tournament, for perhaps other fine headliners. Last year, the Briton with three Grand Slam titles Andy Murray took part in the competition.
