The president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region announced in Largentière the launch of the gastronomy campus project this Friday.
A castle transformed into a campus
The campus will be located in the city’s castle over approximately 4000 m². A castle that will be renovated: the cost of the project is estimated at 10 million euros.
This campus for hospitality and catering trades would be a technical platform that could accommodate trainees in addition to the Largentière hotel school, which is located a few meters from the castle. It could accommodate professional training and would be a point of reference for the south of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
You know me, I want it to go fast. Laurent Wauquiez, president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The project was not detailed since today it boils down to a speech of a few minutes by Laurent Wauquiez on the terrace of the castle. No timetable was given.
