A camper who overturned caused a monster traffic jam on Highway 20 on Sunday in Saint-Léonard-d’Aston, in the Centre-du-Québec region.
According to information from the Sûreté du Québec (QS), the accident occurred around 11:05 a.m. and involved three vehicles. “There were no serious injuries,” said Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the SQ.
This accident, however, caused a monster traffic jam that seemed to extend over nearly 15 km. Highway 20 has been closed westbound indefinitely while the camper is being towed.
“An accident involving a trailer requires a crane to allow reopening. This should take 2 or 3 hours. Please avoid the area. The congestion stretches over several kilometres,” said the Quebec Minister of Transport, François Bonnardel, on Twitter.
