The historic spectacle 1720, the Plague in Provence » is an original creation that mobilizes more than 180 volunteers, artists, extras, screenwriter and director, composer. Fencing artists bring their professionalism to the production of the show. The sound system is provided by a show professional. The cultural impact of this live show is recognized well beyond our region, the association celebrates 20 years of festival, show and action to preserve and promote heritage. The economic and social impact of the historical spectacle is an added value to the territory, to its living forces which share the values of solidarity and proximity.

“La Ciotat once upon a time” aims to organize historical festivals and shows, to highlight periods of history by encouraging the active participation of all citizens, by forging links between artists and the peoples of Europe and Mediterranean. It participates in the promotion and transmission of knowledge and know-how by preserving and restoring the natural and built heritage.

The first minutes of the synopsis and the teaser
May 20, 1720, the Grand Saint Antoine is approaching Marseille. It carries in its holds a rich cargo (currently more than 4 million euros). But, as the journey progressed, he embarked a stowaway, the plague.
