(Wilmington) Australia’s Adam Scott, who is -8, leads the BMW Championship, the second tier of the FedEx Cup series, closely followed by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth, after the 2e round disputed Friday in Wilmington (Delaware).

37e world, in search of a 15e title on the North American PGA Tour, had a quiet day for a long time, with four birdies in his pocket, before stumbling on No. 18.
A double bogey conceded at the worst time, which allowed Spieth, author at the same time of a fifth birdie at No. 17, to return to his height. The latter nevertheless also faulted on the last hole, slipping into second position.
Scott is therefore ahead of him suddenly, like three other competitors who have climbed to second position: the Canadian Correy Conners, as well as the Americans Cameron Young and Scottie Scheffler. The latter, irresistible in the spring with four titles gleaned including the Augusta Masters, jumped 11 places.

Only the first 30 of the BMW Championship will win their ticket for the closing, scheduled for next week in Atlanta (Georgia). The winner of this final stage will pocket a check for 18 million US dollars.
