Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin call for an inspection of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant “as soon as possible”

4:29 p.m. : The two presidents called for the organization “a.s.a.p” a visit to the plant by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

2:14 p.m. : UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has asked Russia not to shut down the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. “Of course, the electricity of Zaporijjia is Ukrainian electricity (…) this principle must be fully respected”he said during his visit to the port of Odessa, after the operator of the Ukrainian power plants Energoatom expressed fears that Russia would cut Zaporizhia.
