A boy less than a month and a half old
This Monday August 15 at the very beginning of the afternoon, the firefighters receive a phone call from the child’s grandmother who, on arriving at her daughter’s, discovers the infant lifeless in his cradle. When they arrive on the scene, the Samu 45 and the gendarmes of Sully-sur-Loire can unfortunately only note the death of the very little boy, barely a month and a half old. Parents are also present at home. They explain that the baby spent a night crying and he has trouble eating. After taking turns in the night, at the end of the morning, the young mother then calls her mother to come and relieve them.
Autopsy reveals broken bones
The parents are a very young couple. She is 21 years old, he is 20 years old. Both are unemployed. The family lives in a certain precariousness in accommodation consisting of a single living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Given the suspicious nature of this death, an autopsy of the child is ordered. It reveals several fractures as well as bruises which leave no doubt about the violence that the newborn may have suffered. The father and mother of the infant are always heard after being placed Wednesday August 17 in police custody. The Montargis prosecutor’s office should relinquish the case in favor of the criminal center of Orleans with a view to the opening of a judicial investigation.
