On the Emerald Coast in Brittany, you may come across a traveling pianist. Facing the sea, the musician delivers his compositions inspired by nature, a disconcerting and poetic spectacle.

Bjorn gottschall is a pianist who has chosen a natural space as a concert hall. His upright piano follows him like his shadow and resounds on tunes that are sometimes melancholic, sometimes more virtuoso, imbued with vigor. “I don’t want to make the image of a super romantic pianist who plays with the sea and inspiration, but I still hear unconsciously maybe I’m imitating a seagull’s cry, I don’t know”he laughs.

This life project was born six years ago when he decided to become a professional musician. Originally from Germany and settled in Brittany, he now wants to favor an atmosphere oriented towards the public. Sometimes at Pays Basquein the Pyrenees or at the foot of Mont-Saint-Michel (Manche), the associate pianist landscapes, lights and music. For the tourists cis a moment in parentheses. “(I) am pleasantly surprised and then it makes the sun rise I have the impression (…), it’s magic”rejoices a woman.
