(London) Chelsea have launched an investigation to shed light on racist insults uttered against Tottenham striker Son Heung-min at Stamford Bridge during Sunday’s Premier League match (2-2), a announced Thursday the English club.

The London club assured that it was ready to take the “strongest measures” against its own supporters if the facts were proven.
“Chelsea Football Club considers any form of discriminatory behavior to be totally abhorrent. This has no place in Chelsea or any of our communities,” the statement read.
“Yet there are still these kind of idiots who call themselves supporters, which puts Chelsea FC, our coaches, our players, our staff and our real supporters to shame.
Chelsea have in the past imposed lifetime bans on supporters found guilty of similar behavior.
