Manchois lived through the hurricane in Corsica

This Thursday morning at the last minute Météo-France had placed Corsica on orange vigilance for violent storms. That’s what happened. The death toll rose to five dead with the deaths of a fisherman in Girolata (Corse-du-Sud) and a kayaker in Erbalunga (Haute-Corse), said the maritime prefecture. At the end of the morning, the prefecture of Haute-Corse had already announced the death of a 46-year-old man in Calvi (Haute-Corse), victim of a tree falling on his bungalow. In Corse-du-Sud, a 13-year-old girl, hit by a falling tree, and a 72-year-old woman, by the fall of the roof of a straw hut, also lost their lives. 12 other people were injured, including two in absolute emergency.

Manchois vacationing there were surprised by the violence and intensity of this storm which lasted about thirty minutes. They sent us photos and videos.
