First week of training or the Toulouse group is almost complete since the resumption at the end of July, apart from a few injuries. The opportunity to prepare for the reconquest of the Top 14 and the European Cup, and to integrate the six summer recruits.
The new kids in action
Among the most famous recruitsare present Melvyn JaminetAngel CapuozzoPierre-Louis BarassiAlexander Roumat and arthur Retière. Without forgetting also the scrum half Paul Graou arrived from Agen. A group completed by the arrival of several young players from the training center in order to organize oppositions. Young shoots that could be called in for reinforcement during times of duplication.
More than a hundred supporters
The recruits were also able to take the measure of the popularity rating of their new club. Wednesday morning again, there was more than a hundred people around the field. Including Bernard and his son Rémi, who came from Rodez on vacation in the area.
“We did a little hike a few kilometers away and we came to see the players from Stade Toulousain who are very available, very pleasant to watch. We hadn’t attended too many rugby training sessions until then. We’re from the region. We come from Rodez. We are Occitans. So we are necessarily supporters of Stade Toulousain.”
There are some interesting recruits. We hope that this year there will be a title.
“We talk about availability, look at Melvyn Jaminet. We ask him for a photo. He comes an hour after the end of training. He is very nice. That’s what makes them popular, their sympathy and their availability. The group has grown. There are recruits who are interesting, who have had very good seasons. We hope that this year, there will be a title.”
Eight players absent for the moment
Cyril Baille and Santiago Chocobares are still injured. Operated at the beginning of the month, Cyril Baille will be absent for two to three months.
