And then, Afghanistan is facing a liquidity problem, since the Americans have frozen the 7 billion dollars of the US Central Bank. So, today, it’s extremely complicated”relates the journalist. In the markets, the price of food has increased three, four or five times. “The poorest eat bread, sweet tea, and even the middle classes are struggling to survive. I have lived in Afghanistan for a very long time and I have never seen this”testifies Dorothy Ollieric.
