We can’t stop the Blues in track cycling! A few minutes after Clara Copponi’s silver medals in the omnium and Mathilde Gros’s sprint, Donavan Grondin went on to win gold in the omnium final at the European Championships on Monday August 15 in Munich.
The 21-year-old Frenchman, in combat during the first three events (scratch, tempo, elimination race), went to win the last sprint during the points race, synonymous with European coronation, the first of his short career in seniors. He beat Italian Simone Consonni and Spaniard Sebastian Mora Vedri.
Donavan Grondin will be back tomorrow from 6:11 p.m. for the American final.
