Andréanne Grimard is one of the mothers and grandmothers who have been demonstrating with their children every Sunday since April 4. To ensure that the Prime Minister and his entourage take note of their presence, she explained that the children who accompany their mother draw and write messages in chalk every week on the pavement in front of the door of the building on rue Sherbrooke.

“Every Monday, when the Prime Minister’s staff from the Executive Council come to the office, they see the traces. They see that we have been there for one more week,” indicated Andréanne Grimard.

This would allow, according to Mères au front, “to avoid accentuating the climate crisis and to identify mitigation and mitigation measures from the outset in the decisions and policies of all ministries”.
A decentralized group present throughout the province
Sometimes, they are only five or six people to demonstrate in front of the office of François Legault and, other times, about twenty.
Mères au front is a decentralized movement of some thirty groups active in different cities and towns in Quebec, which has given itself the mandate of “breaking down inaction in the face of climate change and protecting life on Earth. »
