Close-up on the activities of Ferme Darrigade! Beyond a so-called classic production of asparagus and fattened ducks, peanuts are produced there. Five generations of the Delest family, since 1887, have succeeded each other in the place called Darrigade, which gave its name to the farm. It was grandfather Robert Delest who cultivated a few peanut plants in his garden, as was already the practice in the sector. And then he had the audacity to go further. This visionary and pioneer man went from a family culture to a culture established today on twelve hectares. Surprising culture, which one imagines rather “exotic”, but which finds here singularly a favorable soil because sandy facilitating the drainage. To taste without moderation the cooked products such as the “cassouhète”, their cassoulet with peanuts.

Not far from the Ferme Darrigade is the Domaine de Millon, it is a magnificent estate set on two hectares between forest and countryside, formerly dedicated to the production of gemstones, pine resin and vines. The estate was then bubbling with life and entertainment, a real village. Today the Laboille-Moresmau family has revived this dormant heritage by developing a tourist accommodation activity. They gradually rehabilitated the outbuildings, barns, farmhouse, workers’ houses and the master’s house. They took up a titanic challenge. There are five exceptional lodgings, three of which have a private swimming pool, four guest rooms, a shop, and new this year: a barn intended for events. It is a magical place where you have to take the time to take your time, a real enchanted parenthesis to discover.
