Two men aged 23 and 27 were indicted for aggravated pimping in Grenoble, franceinfo learned from the prosecutor on Friday August 12, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré. They were taken into custody.
The two suspects were arrested on Wednesday by the departmental security of Isère in an apartment in Grenoble, rented via a seasonal rental platform. The older of the two was also wanted, following a previous conviction for similar acts.
Two young adult women were also present in the apartment. They, as well as the two suspects, are from the Marseille region. The Grenoble prosecutor told franceinfo that the two young women suffered violence from the suspects, and prostituted themselves under duress. They also gave them all of the customers’ money.
The Grenoble public prosecutor’s office has opened a judicial investigation. The two suspects are also indicted for human trafficking, violence against a person engaged in prostitution and threats with an order to fulfill a condition.
