On the program: films for the general public, art and essays and heritage. West Side Story (the 1961 movie), High heels by Pedro Almodovar or even Well love by Christophe Honoré to name but a few. A selection for all tastes: “We wanted a slightly more festive theme this year and not only offer musicals, but also films where there are dance scenes that have become cult, such as the duo John Travolta and Uma Thurman in pulp Fiction or Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut“, Explain Sandrine Le Guen, festival programmer

The festival also gives pride of place to short films. “Every Friday evening, we have a selection called Premiers pas. These are directors who have just released a short film in the previous year. believes Marie-Anne Merat, operations manager. “We had the cinema during the Covid period, very limited in gauge with circles on the ground for distancing.”

“We really find the atmosphere of before. We projected Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, for example, and in the last quarter of an hour people applauded on the lawn!”
