Ambre and Frédéric Hoareau are breeders of “Gascons” black pigs. They took over the breeding of a neighbor who was retiring, adding small touches to it, so that it matches their values. Reproduction takes place in them in a natural way and without any human intervention. And during births, they intervene only if there is a vital need. Weaning is done naturally between 2 and 4 months depending on the needs of the mother and the babies.
Nothing but the natural for the couple
Concerned about their breeding as well as their environment, the cereals are organic (80% and are 100% this year) and local. They have also set up an anti-waste action to recover unsold products from certain producers and stores. All the different stages of processing will be in the organic category, however they do not wish to label their meat. Ambre and Frédéric have become adept at “home-made” (bread, household products and cosmetics, candles, sanitary napkins, elderflower lemonade, preserves, etc.). More concerned about their diet, they are self-sufficient in eggs and poultry and hope to be self-sufficient in vegetables soon. Eating healthy and local while respecting nature has become essential for them. As Ambre said at the microphone of France Bleu Béarn Bigorre “one thing leading to another, the alternative farm seemed obvious to us.
