Celine Dion comes out of her silence to talk about Daniel Levi, who died of cancer…

He died at the age of 60 following colon cancer and Daniel Lévi leaves the world of song in mourning. Like his former traveling companions, Ten Commandments (Elie Chouraqui, Pascal Obispo, Ahmed Mouici, Kamel Ouali, or even Ginie Line and Pablo Villafranca), all those who collaborated with him were very saddened by the announcement of his death this weekend.

Celine Dion breaks the silence

Thus, in recent days, Patrick Bruel, Lara Fabian or even Slimane have all written messages of condolence to him, while fans have shared extracts from the shows where they had collaborated. Among the sequences that we reviewed, the Web was particularly moved by his performance with Celine Dion, during the show “Celine Dion at all costs”on M6, in 2002. Two years after the premiere of his musical at the Palais des sports in Paris, and crowned with glory by a tour through France, Daniel Lévi had been invited on stage to cross the microphone with the diva.

With her, he shares another specificity in his CV. They both worked for Disney. For him, it was in 1993, for the French film strip “Aladdin“, “This blue dream” (in duet with Karine Costa), for her, it was in 1991, for “Beauty and the Beast” (theme song of “The beauty and the Beast“), a duet with Peabo Bryson, which won the Oscar for Best Original Song.

Ten years later, during their meeting on television, Daniel Levi had started the interpretation of “The desire to love”, before the Canadian star joins him on stage by multiplying the vocals. This August 8, two days after the announcement of the disappearance of Daniel Levi, his testimony was still the most awaited. Celine Dion wrote on Twitter: “I am saddened to learn of the death of Daniel Levi, with whom I had the privilege of sharing the stage. He had an absolutely magnificent voice that will resonate with us for a long time.“. And to add: “I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”.
