THREE-RIVERS | The discipline of rallycross, removed from the program of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in 2019, will return to Mauricie next winter.

The event, scheduled for January 21 and 22, will bring together electric cars on an icy track set up on the Hippodrome 3R site.
The one-kilometre track will use the same stretch that the World Rallycross Championship cars used to run on dirt at the time.
Trois-Rivières will be the seventh stage of the Nitro Rallycross, a championship contested on three continents.
The electric cars identified as FC1-X reach particularly high speeds thanks to their 787 kilowatts of power, which is the equivalent of approximately 1055 horsepower.

Former Formula 1 driver Scott Speed, converted to rallycross, is engaged full-time in this championship.
NASCAR Cup drivers Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott have competed in a few events in the past in the United States and the GP3R obviously wants to attract them.
