An investigation has been opened after the violent assault on a 13-year-old girl last week in Albertville, near a college of the city, we learned this Thursday, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré. The facts date back to November 9. The girl was badly beaten on the ground, by other college girls, also minors. One of them filmed the scene, and the video was posted on social media.
A sex act filmed and broadcast on Snapchat
Everything would have started with a first video of a sexual nature. Last may, the 13-year-old was allegedly filmed by her ex-boyfriend, a 17-year-old young man, performing a sexual act. The video then loops on Snapchat. A video “not consented”, will say the young girl, who decides to lodge a complaint. According to our information, after the dissemination of these images, she was even the victim of a attempted sexual assault, from another college comrade.
Two months earlier, the teenager had changed establishment, but she remains in school in Albertville. At the start of the September school year, she goes to 4th grade … and the video resurfaces. The young girl accuses at that time teenagers from her old establishment, schooled in Third, of wanting to provoke her. “Don’t bother me with this anymore, leave me alone!”, she lets them know. This is followed by exchanges of insults and threats on social networks.
It was a mother of a student who witnessed the scene, she warned a supervisor
The story ends in front of the college on November 9. Two teenage girls aged 15 and 16 hit her on the ground several times, and a third filmed the scene. But the latter claim to have themselves been assaulted. One of the defendants also lodged a complaint with the gendarmerie. For his part, the alleged victim, who resides in Albertville, was prescribed 30 days of ITT. According to her relatives, whom we were able to contact, she is “psychologically very shocked”, and “no longer dares to leave her home”.
Two ongoing investigations
Regarding the first investigation, that for the dissemination of the video of a sexual nature, several minors have been placed in police custody. According to our information, in this first part of the case, there has so far been no legal proceedings. Following the settlement of accounts on November 9, a second investigation was opened for “meeting violence on minors, near a school” and “dissemination and recording of images relating to the commission of a deliberate attack on the integrity of a person”.
The facts were reported to the Rectorate and cyberstalking awareness actions will be carried out in the two schools involved in the coming days, we were told.
