Three men injured in downtown Montreal

Three men were transported to a hospital after two separate incidents of gun violence in downtown Montreal overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

An officer from the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) on regular patrol was first notified that an individual was in the area with a firearm.

He is a 22-year-old man who was stabbed in the lower body. He was subsequently transported to a hospital.

Another man, also 22 years old, was also injured and transported to a hospital. We wouldn’t fear for the life of any of the men. A suspect was arrested by the police. It would be a conflict that degenerated.

When the police were on the scene to investigate the first incident, a 27-year-old individual, visibly injured in the lower body by a stab wound, presented himself to ask for assistance.

The incident, believed to be an altercation that escalated, allegedly occurred in an alley off Crescent Street. The man was also transported to a hospital.

It is currently impossible to confirm whether the two events are related.
