(Nashville) Forward Yakov Trenin agreed to a two-year, $3.4 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Friday.

The 25-year-old Russian had 17 goals and 24 points last season, in 80 games.
Trenin ranked fourth among his team with 191 hits.
He added three goals in the first round of the playoffs, where the Predators were swept by the Colorado Avalanche.
The previous year, Trenin had scored twice in six first-round games against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Former star of the Gatineau Olympiques, Trenin was drafted 55e in total in 2015, by the Predators.
He represented his country at the 2017 World Junior Championship.
