Will the wise listen to the left? The parliamentary groups that make up the Nupes in the National Assembly announced on Friday August 5 that they had filed an appeal before the Constitutional Council to challenge the amending finance law of 2022, adopted Thursday by Parliament.
The rebellious elected officials, socialists, communists and environmentalists attack several measures contained in the law, in particular the monetization of the days of RTT, which they consider as “a budgetary horseman who requires the censorship of the Constitutional Council”, says a press release. MEPs are also contesting the abolition of the audiovisual levy, judging that the system put in place by the government, allocating part of the VAT to the public audiovisual budget, “door reached” to its independence. Finally, the Nupes intergroup consider that the law “disregards the principle of budgetary sincerity because of the chronic and manifest undervaluation of revenue forecasts”.
