Those who were born in Bordeaux or who have lived there for a long time know that Lake Bordeaux is a very interesting place for sailing. the Bordeaux-Lac Sailing Center was wanted by Jacques Chaban-Delmas (mayor of Bordeaux). Located on the southern part of Lake Bordeaux, the Center de Voile de Bordeaux-Lac has a body of water of 100 hectares.
The Center de Voile de Bordeaux-lac has assumed the management and responsibility for the body of water since November 3, 1975. This Center de Voile is an association under the Law of 1901.

- 60 sailboards
- 35 “optimists”
- 60 catamarans
- 30 stand-up paddleboards
- Or 8 canoes and 5 pedal boats
There are many advantages… First of all, it is therefore not necessary to take your car when you live in Bordeaux. Then, as the equipment is lent, the user does not need to buy a windsurfing board for example. Finally, instructors can teach you the technique to better master the equipment.
