This summer, until August 19, is the 40th edition of the Périgord Noir Festival. A pride for Jean-Luc Soulé, the founder and president of the festival. Unlike previous editions, the festival team has not chosen a theme for this year. “A 40th anniversary is in itself attractive enough, but there are big names, young talents, great highlights that serve as landmarks for this festival”.
For this new edition, Jean-Luc Soulé promises a festival with “a tender look at past years, since some musicians have been coming from the start and will be present again this year. And then for me, the most important thing today is “is to reach out from one generation to the next. In 40 years of the festival, the third or even the fourth generation of musicians from the same family comes to the festival. We really like the family spirit”.
