Tribute to Michel Bouquet at the Ramatuelle Festival: several celebrities expected

On July 27, the annual Festival of Ramatuelle, combining theatre, humor and variety, opened its doors within the grounds of the open-air theatre. A moment of celebration, after several unfortunate events. “The whole world is upset, we have gone through two years of Covid and today “War” at the gates of Europe. Theaters have been destroyed but the artists are standing to communicate to us messages of peace and life” can we read on the official website of this event. Note that this 38th edition is dedicated to Michel Bouquet. It is a tribute for this actor ‘who loved Ramatuelle so much, an unforgettable and irreplaceable master”.

This festival was founded by Jacqueline Franjou, who has been the director of the event since 2010. She is supported by an artistic director, better known as a director and actor, Michel Boujenah – who succeeded Jean-Claude Brialy, co- also founder since 2010. The latter welcomed this Sunday Roselyne Bachelot, who had come to attend the Opening of the Cyril Bruneau photo exhibition. The former Minister of Culture paid tribute to Michel Bouquet, who “accompanied” throughout his life through his roles on the stage, especially with Molière. “The Miser, the imaginary invalid… He was a giant” she pointed out, as reported by the newspaper nice morning.

An XXL cast

But Roselyne Bachelot is only one prestigious guest among many others, since many very famous artists are expected for this Festival. Starting with the singer Patrick Bruel, who will be in concert this Monday, August 1 from 9:30 p.m. Tomorrow, humor will be in the spotlight on stage with the show Ten Wine(s) by François-Xavier Demaison, also scheduled for 9:30 p.m. But it doesn’t stop there, since other renowned personalities like Éric Antoine, Michel Leeb, and Calogero are also on the program for this 38th edition.

Note that the Festival also offers a program entitled Classic Nights, which, as its name suggests, will consist of events related to classical music, such as opera concerts or a show entirely dedicated to Josephine Baker. A rich and varied program, where everyone should find something for themselves! For information, the Festival will close its doors on August 12th.
