The singer Dadju has been very active during this year 2022. Between his return last May (three years after his last album) with his new project entitled cullinanhis concert at the Parc des Princes in June as well as his first role in the film Ima (which is also the title of one of his songs), the brother of Maitre Gims aroused the curiosity of his fans, who wondered on this unexpected omnipresence on the part of the singer.
“An album, a film, a Parc des Princes and 2 tours in one year? Dadju, what does that mean? won’t you let us go afterwards?“wondered a user. What the interpreter of Jealous replied “I’m going to suddenly disappear“. A not very reassuring answer, which he commented on during an interview with nice morning. In particular, he felt that he had accomplished so much from a professional point of view, like “go to the studio, sell albums, perform in concerts to make people dance and sing”, it was time for him “to wait and slow down to then start again better“.
“I wanted it a lot”
There followed a confidence about the birth of her third child. “If I succeeded in a lot of things in music, I missed many others in my personal life. I couldn’t be present at the birth of my third child because I was ‘succeeding’ in other things” he confided during this interview. A miss that he regrets a lot, which led him to be more present now for his loved ones. “I was very angry with myself for not being there at the birth. It made me question a lot of things (…) I intend to take advantage of my family, my wife and my children. Unlike music, those moments you can never catch up with. I don’t wanna miss these next big moments“said the 31-year-old artist.
As a reminder, Dadju has been married since January 2017 to a person whose identity is kept secret. The news had been announced to his fans in the album intro video Gentleman 2.0. A few months later, he announced, on his Instagram account, to be the father of a little girl whom he nicknames “Maamou”. He is also the father of two sons, born in April 2020 and February 2022.
