A violent road accident occurred this Monday morning around 11 a.m. in the Limoges-Paris direction. A van, with two men in their thirties on board, hit a vehicle from behind. In this vehicle, a woman in her sixties.
Very seriously injured, the sexagenarian had to be extricated by the firefighters on the spot. She was airlifted to Limoges University Hospital via HeliSmur, which landed on the highway. The two drivers of the van emerged unscathed from the accident.
The A20 blocked for more than an hour
During the emergency, the A20 motorway had to be closed in the south-north direction, which caused several kilometers of traffic jams.
