A man in his sixties jumped into the water from a dock in Lake Théodore, in Morin-Heights, Monday afternoon. According to information from the Sûreté du Québec, the resident of the region was trying to “recover personal items that had fallen into the water from a wharf”, specifies the relationist agent Nicolas Scholtus.
Then the sexagenarian disappeared. The fire services were the first to be deployed on the scene, around 3:30 p.m. Their searches failed to find him.
At the end of the evening on Sunday, the divers of the Sûreté du Québec were called in for reinforcement. They were still heading for Lake Theodore as these lines were written.
“If the person is not found this evening, we risk having research on the body of water tomorrow morning from 8 am”, underlines Nicolas Scholtus.
