War in Ukraine: Volodymyr Zelensky calls on the population of the Donetsk region to flee

In Ukraine, not a day goes by without bombing on the Donbass. The civilian populations, sometimes targeted, sometimes collateral victims, are paying a heavy price on each side of the front. The Ukrainian authorities estimate that 200,000 people, including a quarter of children, still live in these territories. the Donbass is divided in two by the front line. On the morning of Sunday July 31, on tone dramatic, Volodymyr Zelensky called on these populations to leave the region of Donetskin the Donbass : “The decision to leave must be taken at some point. The more people who leave the Donetsk region right now, the fewer people the Russian army will kill.”

The Russian offensive on the Donbass has been less virulent for a few weeks. The Ukrainian president’s statement hints that a widespread resumption of fighting may be near. Sunday July 31 in the morning, 500 km further Souththe Russians reported that a drone exploded at the headquarters of the Crimean fleet, in Sevastopol. The Ukrainians denied the attack.
