Protagonist in spite of himself in the Jubillar affair, the couple’s eldest son, Louis, is at the center of all attention in the investigation. He is one of the last to have seen his mother Delphine, on the evening of December 15, 2020. His words are therefore listened to with the greatest interest by the two magistrates in charge of the case, who have to deal with the young age of this witness, his fragility in the face of the drama he is experiencing, and the capital importance of his words. Thus, his approximations on the outfit that his mom was wearing at that time caused trouble.
Questioned by investigators during a hearing reported by Point, the son of the Tarn nurse first thought she was in pajamas before changing her mind: “Mum was in pajamas, I believe, me too (…) Or mum was dressed and me too since she told me to put on pajamas.” Changing his mind shortly after, he clarifies: “She had on her red sweater and her blue pants.“How come the clothes she wore in a photo she sent to her lover – she was in the process of divorcing Cédric – was a white playsuit? Nothing proves that on the snapshot that she has transmitted to his confidant in Montauban was done that same evening.
If the boy is not sure of his mother’s clothes, he nevertheless clearly affirmed his memory of their argument which took place that same evening, when he was supposed to have gone to bed. Discreet observer of the scene, he overheard a heated argument between his parents. Moreover, he is adamant that his mother wore glasses to watch television with him, a frame found the next day broken. Technical expertise assured that it had been broken by an external force, as during an argument…
Louis’ father denies any altercation. The painter-plasterer, currently imprisoned on a provisional basis for spousal homicide, indicated that his wife had to go out to walk the dogs. He also put forward the hypothesis of a voluntary flight to Spain, to start a new life. This is denied by everyone around Delphine, convinced that she would never have abandoned her children.
Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
