We will have to get used to it: in 13 municipalities of the metropolis of Rouen, it will be forbidden to go with a car that is too polluting from September 1st. The intermunicipal authority is indeed continuing to set up the low mobility emission zone (ZFE-m), it would have been obliged to do so from 2025 anyway.
As of September 1, light vehicles with Crit’air 4 and 5 stickers, as well as those without them, will be prohibited in the municipalities of Amfreville-la-Mi-Voie, Bihorel, Bois-Guillaume, Bonsecours , Darnétal, Déville-lès-Rouen, Le Grand-Quevilly, Le Mesnil-Esnard, Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville, Le Petit-Quevilly, Rouen, Saint-Léger-du-Bourg-Denis and Sotteville-lès-Rouen.
The constitution of this perimeter was not easy: many municipalities came out against this ZFE-m. This is the case for example of Mont-Saint-Aignan, Maromme or even St-Etienne-du-Rouvray. Remember that the metropolis offers aid to people who have to change vehicles due to the entry into force of this ZFE-m.
