Invited this morning from France Bleu Provence, the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, promises this fall several tens of millions of euros : “As part of the “Marseille en grand” plan, we want to insist on the North-South axis in the city. That’s what we want to focus on, to open up. It’s not theoretically, it will concretely change the lives of the people of Marseille.”
2.6 billion for rail in the PACA region
More broadly, the Minister recalls his wish to invest in rail, hand in hand with the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region, with an envelope of 2.6 billion euros, spread over ten years. “I hope to be able to launch the first phase of work on La Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur by 2024, to reach Marseille Toulon and Nice by TGV.”
Regarding the small TER lines, “the State will also be there to support and finance work on the small lines” assures the Minister of Transport.
20 cents discount at Total service stations
On the eve of a crossover weekend, Clément Beaune finally recalls his wish to relieve the wallets of the French who take the car. In addition to the boost from the State of 30 cents at the pump in September/October, then 10 cents in November/December, the State will push Total to make efforts :“An effort of 20 cents at the pump, from the start of the school year, in all Total stations emphasizes the minister. I also asked that the motorway companies make more efforts on tolls.”
