It’s recovery time for FC Metz. This Saturday, the Ligue 2 football championship resumes its rights and the relegated Garnet will host Amiens. After a rather promising preparation campaign, the club at the Croix de Lorraine does not want to miss its return to the antechamber of the elite.
László Bölöni positive for Covid
This Thursday, July 28, the new coach of FC Metz was unable to honor his first pre-match press conference of the season. László Bölöni tested positive for coronavirus and was replaced by his deputy, Christophe Delmotte.
The former VAFC coach, however, indicated that the Romanian coach could be back this Saturday on the Metz bench, if the tests allow him.

Matthieu Udol, the captain of FC Metz for this return to Ligue 2
Trained at FC Metz, injured four times in the knee, Matthew Udol is a model of fidelity and fighting spirit. It was only natural that the Metz staff offered him the captain’s armband for this new season in Ligue 2. A mission that the left defender naturally accepted.
Wearing the armband is good, I’m going to be the group’s representative and I’m very proud of it and the role I have won’t change more than that, because I’ve always had a leader’s soul.
