It is with the objective of participating in the fish route from September 18 that the family decided to cross France, from south to north with three mules and a trailer.
“The fish route” is a sporting and popular equestrian carriage event. Created in 1991 with the help of the Haras de Compiègne, this 24-hour endurance race is organized in September to connect Boulogne-sur-Mer to Paris. It pays homage to the hunters, the former fishmongers, who delivered fish and seafood by team to Paris.
Edith and Sébastien Chabot take part in this event with two of their three Poitevin mules.
But, rather than going to the event with motor vehicles, Edith and Sébastien decided to make the crossing, by the small roads with a trailer, wide as a car and high of a little more than 3 meters. . Besides the three mules, the family dog is adventurous. Edith and Sébastien, breeders in Ariège, have also taken their three children on board for the adventure.
The adventure of the Chabot family can be followed on the Facebook page: Têtes de mule et queue de Poisson.
