Two days after the incidents in the La Monnaie district of Romans-sur-Isère: the investigation by the judicial police is continuing. A 26-year-old man was shot and wounded in the leg and arm just after a gunshot rang out in the neighborhood around 8 p.m. on Friday July 22, 2022.
The police quickly arrived at the scene Boulevard Henri Dunant, Quartier de la Monnaie in Romans sur Isère. The victim was transported to the Valence Hospital Center in stable condition.
Testimonies helped direct the investigation towards two individuals. The two perpetrators have been identified: search warrants have been issued against them. The dispute would have arisen from a “turf war” linked to drug trafficking. The individuals were arrested on Saturday July 23, 2022 in the early evening in Marseille.
At the same time, a second event took place, namely a shooting in Romans sur Isère. This fact is associated with the ongoing investigation.
On Saturday July 23, 2022, the alleged perpetrator was arrested by the police. The defendants are unfavorably known to the judicial services. The Valence Public Prosecutor’s Office opens today a judicial investigation of the head of organized gang attempted murder for the first fact and assassination attempt for the second. The investigations are continuing by the Judicial Police under the direction of the Investigating Judge.
