Sleep in treehouses in the Mercantour at Belvédère
Belvédère is a perched village in the high country of Nice in the Vésubie at an altitude of 830 m, its name translated from the patois “beautiful view”. In this valley, it is difficult to get bored: hikes, cultural walks, water sports, climbing, animal park, mountain biking or simply relaxation in unusual cabins such as the Lov’Nids, these small cabins in the trees, round and unusual, perched at 4 meters high. Each Lov’nid is equipped with its own Fjord.
It all started in 2018, following my dismissal. After a period of reflection, I moved into the house which was at the time a weekend house and I decided not to leave Vésubie again. A friend who told me about the concept of perched cabins made me want to get started. Thanks to Initiative Terre d’Azur, I established a viable project. Initially, there was only the house on the land… No running water, no electricity. Everything had to be built. Since then, things have evolved: opening of our lov’nid, the Hobbit’s cabin, expansion of the house, etc.
But you haven’t seen everything, shepherds’ rooms set up in a completely renovated old sheepfold or even the Hobbit hut from Tolkien’s imagination, will immerse you in the universe of the Lord of the Rings.
