This Thursday, July 21, it’s the stage of all possibilities. The runners set off from Lourdes at 1.30 p.m. (1.40 p.m. actual start) to arrive in Hautacam, still in Bigorre, at 5.25 p.m. Last Pyrenean stage of the 2022 edition of the Grande Boucle, it promises to be spectacular with 143 km and three first-class climbs: the Col d’Aubisque (16.4 km at 7.1%), the Col de Spandelles (10 .3 km at 8.3%) to finish on a final climb towards the winter sports resort (13.6 km at 7.8%). Three exceptional passes including a new one, the Spandelles pass, still impassable a few years ago.
