The government has announced the establishment of aid of 100 euros to cope with inflation. For some this is good news, for others it is not enough.
Millions of French people followed the speech of Prime Minister Jean Castex, who announced Thursday, October 20, the establishment of a “inflation compensation” from 100 euros notably to cope with the increase in the price of fuel. Some motorists are satisfied. “It’s a good idea, because there are other households that cannot afford it”, testifies a man. Other people, who do not meet the criteria, slightly exceeding the 2,000 euros mark, are a little more disappointed.
For other motorists, this aid announced by the Prime Minister is not enough to solve the problem. “By helping people in a targeted manner, we no longer know if we are going to help the right people”, testifies a motorist. “Checks don’t go to everyone, we need everyone to benefit”, adds a motorist. Many motorists met by the France 2 teams would have preferred a reduction in taxes.
