The fires are becoming more violent and frequent. In total, more than 70,000 hectares have burned in Spain.

In Portugal, more than 30,000 hectares have been ravaged in recent days by several fires. In the Porto region, the inhabitants managed to slow the progression of the flames, which threatened their house, with sometimes derisory means. The Portuguese authorities have recommended the utmost caution. The whole country was placed on fire alert. In Greece, the threat of fires has not disappeared either. Crete was particularly affected, with nearly 14,000 hectares burned.
