Quebec reports eight new deaths from COVID-19

Quebec reports eight new deaths linked to COVID-19 on Monday, for a total of 15,765 since the start of the pandemic.

A total of 6,613 healthcare workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.

Data for hospitalizations and intensive care will be updated on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Health also reports 1,287 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 1,126,063.

In all, 254,963 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 212,350 positives. For the day on Sunday, 562 tests were declared, including 489 positive.

The Ministry of Health indicates that 10,326 analyzes were carried out on Sunday and that the positivity rate is 15.8%.

Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 56% received a third dose and 16% obtained a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 48% went for a fourth dose.
