A man was shot dead outside a shisha bar on rue Popincourt, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, on the evening of Monday July 18. Around 9:30 p.m., two individuals got out of a vehicle and fired “on two individuals seated on the terrace”, reports the Paris police headquarters. Four other people were more lightly injured. Still according to the police headquarters, one of the two assailants was arrested, the second is still at large. If we do not know for the moment their identity and the motivations of their act, the hypothesis of a settlement of accounts is privileged.

“We saw a car coming, they came out with a weapon – I would have said a submachine gun or a Kalashnikov – they fired and they lefttestified to AFP, Antoine, owner of a nearby restaurant.
