The Quebecer has agreed on the terms of a one-way contract in the American Hockey League.
The former Nashville Predators, Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets had 28 points, including 11 goals, in 67 games in his first season with the Rocket last year.
The 31-year-old from Rimouski is tipped by many to become the team’s next captain due to the departure of Xavier Ouellet.
The Rocket also announced the signing of goaltenders Philippe Desrosiers and Joe Vrbetic. Both goalkeepers signed two-way American League contracts.
