Who is Boris Presseq?
He is a botanist from the Museum of Toulouse who has traveled the world, especially the tropical regions to study their biodiversity.
But he is above all a good teacher, defender of nature who writes with chalk on the sidewalk in his city of Toulouse, the names of plants and trees. Every month, he leads discovery walks of the local flora and fauna in his metropolis.
He is also a consultant for the city and the metropolis in terms of soil preservation.
In a way, a nature activist, in the noble sense of the term.
His book “Trees”:
Take the neophyte into the world of the tree, which he knows very little about, in order to understand his role and his place on earth:
how a tree is made
How it lives, defends itself, reproduces,
· His interactions with the rest of his environment.
This book is a compendium on trees, simple, complete, accessible, because it is very easy to read, with many illustrations and photos.
I think it’s a very good holiday companion for children, from the moment they know how to read fluently, to take with them on walks in the forest.
